About Qatar-e
The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) launched the Qatar Digital Government initiative, a vital step in the nation’s journey toward becoming a digital-first, knowledge-based economy.
With services like license renewals, fine payments, and residency procedures, Qatar-e (Yes, that’s what we named it!) provides users with seamless access to essential services via an intuitive website and mobile app.

The Challenge
At a time when Qatar was navigating both the COVID-19 pandemic and a regional blockade, the mission was clear:
reduce physical visits, ensure continuity, and build trust in government systems. We set out to create a brand that was reliable, emotionally resonant, and rooted in national pride.

How We Made It Happen
We began with quantitative and qualitative research to deeply understand the behaviors, pain points and aspirations of citizens and residents alike.
Focus groups and interviews revealed a surprising emotional insight: expatriates felt deep pride in Qatar and wanted to feel more connected to its systems. This inspired our approach: Make the platform not just useful, but meaningful.

The Brand Strategy
We positioned Qatar-e as a hero, solving problems, simplifying lives, and becoming a source of national pride. The name itself, Qatar-e, carries double meaning: “e” for electronic and “e” as a possessive suffix in Arabic, translating to “My Qatar.”
This small linguistic tweak created a big emotional shift.

The Identity
Logo & Color Palette
The English logo’s circular “Q” symbolizes 360-degree service, while the “e” embodies forward motion, like the wind, with 2 dots under it deepening its arabic connection. To distinguish the Arabic logo design, we used the letters “إي,” which means “yes,” further reinforcing optimism and progress.
Moreover, A youthful, vibrant palette and modern typefaces were chosen to appeal to Qatar’s young, tech-savvy, multicultural audience.

Brand activation
Our team rolled out a digital-first campaign across platforms, supported by mall activations that brought the brand to life in public spaces. Key messaging focused on efficiency, inclusivity, and optimism, encouraging people to “Join the Movement”. Qatar-e was positioned not as a tool, but as a mindset shift toward modern governance.
By rooting Qatar-e in pride, simplicity, and digital innovation, we didn’t just create a digital platform, we also helped shape a national movement. Today, Qatar-e stands as a symbol of progress, belonging and the future of citizen-centered service.
