


Clarity, Choice & Convenience: The Qaren Identity
Qaren was awarded Silver in “Best Use of Technology” at the GCX Awards, recognizing its smart integration of design, technology, and consumer-centric thinking.

Background
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) in Bahrain set out to improve transparency in the telecom sector by providing citizens with an accessible tool to compare telecom services. The aim was clear: to help users make better-informed decisions through a single, easy-to-use digital platform.

The Challenge
TRA needed more than just a functional tool; they needed a brand that could communicate clarity, trust, and empowerment in a modern, digital-first way.
The core challenge was to build a brand that resonates across a wide demographic, from tech-savvy youth to everyday consumers.

Brand Strategy & Naming
We began by understanding the audience. Their needs, behaviors, and digital fluency inspired 3 foundational brand pillars: convenience, clarity, and choice. These pillars drove both strategic and creative direction, grounding the brand in user-centricity from the ground up.
We created the name “Qaren”, the Arabic term for “compare”, simple yet memorable. It speaks directly to the platform’s purpose and function, while being culturally resonant and easy to recall. It represents a promise to empower consumers through access to clear, trusted telecom information.
Visual Identity
Logo & Visual Language
In a geometric structure that signals modernity and digital intelligence, our team designed Qaren’s logo to embody the brand’s essence with a modern mark built on three core elements. The magnifying glass represents discovery and precision, the letter Q as a distinctive anchor, and Wi-Fi signal arcs to reinforce the tech and telecom connection.
To further elevate the user interface (UI), the brand’s signature visual elements were derived from Wi-Fi signal arcs, creating a cohesive and flexible visual system. Two distinct formats allow for versatile usage across different digital and print applications, while always staying true to Qaren’s identity.


Visual Identity
Color Palette & Typography
A tech-forward palette with vibrant blue, deep navy, and cyan as primary colors to capture the digital and futuristic spirit of telecom was selected as main colors, while neon green and vibrant pink were selected as secondary colors, injecting energy and modern flair through subtle gradients.
The ORIGIN team selected modern, legible typefaces in both English and Arabic to reflect accessibility and digital intelligence and support the brand’s multilingual usage.

We made sure every touchpoint was designed to feel intuitive, modern, and helpful, building trust and encouraging use.
We extended the Qaren brand across digital environments, ensuring consistency across UI interface assets and icons, digital campaign materials, graphics and infographics, and regulatory and user communications.
